JEE Advanced 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur is one of the 23 IITs in India that is among the top 30 colleges in the field of engineering as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023. NIRF rankings are issued by the Union Ministry of Education every year. 

The NIRF ranking of IIT Jodhpur in the overall category has moved to 66 in 2023. The IIT Jodhpur could not find a place in the NIRF rankings in the overall category between 2019 and 2022. The engineering ranking of the institute (at 33) in 2023 and 2022 was stagnant. The IIT Jodhpur NIRF 2023 position improved from 2021 when it was ranked at 43rd rank.

The institute has not been ranked in the QS World University Rankings 2023 or in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023.

IIT Jodhpur is one of the new IITs in the country set up in 2008. The institute has been offering academic programmes in bachelor of technology (BTech), master of science (MSc), master of science – master of technology (MSc-MTech), master of technology (MTech), master of technology – doctor of philosophy (MTech-PhD) dual degree and doctor of philosophy.

The institute offers BTech in eight branches, namely, Bioengineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, AI and Data Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Civil and Infrastructure Engineering.
